Marinating … takes time, slow cooking, deep seasoned.
Microwave … usually it was already pre-prepared by someone else, aka leftovers.
The Season Test
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8)
The Personal Test
The reason for the tests God takes us through for every season varies due to the time and intensity of our situation. It is during these tests that we try to challenge God’s decision by putting a time limit on the season we are in, sometimes causing ourselves to become stranded because we overrode God’s will. Some of us became stranded in bad marriages, financial struggles, single-hood, family problems, or addictions by making the wrong career or location moves.
The Four Seasons
The four seasons in a year (spring, summer, fall, and winter) can represent the season you are going through spiritually. Spring is a time of turning up the dead things and planting new seeds. Summer is a time of being exposed and bearing fruit. Fall is a time of harvest and gathering the spoils. Winter is a time when everything is dormant, still, cold, and hidden under the snow. Seasons come and go and are times of testing. Truly we are in a time of testing with the social and political unrest.
Trust God no matter what it looks like, this too shall pass, seasons and storms pass. The SON will shine again in the end!!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and HE will direct your path. (Proverbs 3:5)
