Saying NO can be hard, especially if you suffer from low self-esteem. Everyone wants to be loved, be liked, be invited into someone's circle. We want to be accepted, but at what price? Don't sacrifice yourself to be liked or accepted by anyone. You are your most valuable possession.
God will give you someone who is ahead of you, someone who is side by side with you. Someone with vision, someone who knows God as you do, and someone who pushes and encourages you to deliver what you are carrying to the world. Mary needed an example of someone who was doing what God called her to do. Elizabeth was Mary’s forerunner and very soon, John, Elizabeth’s baby would forerun for Jesus. There was this spiritual relay race going on in the Spirit, a passing of the baton. Elizabeth’s baby leaped in her womb at the arrival of Jesus. John knew it would soon be his turn to run.
Now the two women walked and laughed together, gaining strength from each other, and learned of God’s magnificent ways. They were great friends Like David and Jonathan; they encouraged one another concerning their promises from God. Elizabeth even prophesied and said “Blessed is she that believeth, for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. (Luke 1:45)
God will put someone in your life who will encourage you. Pray for a safe, trusted friend who will help you through tough challenging times. Someone who supports your NO and helps you to protect what God has given you to birth on the earth!
Recognize when you need to say NO! Don't be a repeat offender. When you get out, stay out!
