Jealousy is no joke. Jealousy is a killer. Comparison is a seed of jealousy. The first murder in the Bible was about jealousy. Cain’s jealousy was due to thinking his sacrifice wasn’t good enough for God, wasn’t as good as Abel’s, so rather than work on it to get it right, it seemed easier to kill the innocent.
And this, my friend, is how jealousy got into mankind. Satan even shared with Eve a lie of God’s intentions to keep certain things for Himself. He told her she wasn't as good as God. Lies are used to spread untruths. Sometimes, this is what happens to the innocent … jealous people kill them off!
It is crazy, but we fight one another to prove who is the greatest in His Kingdom. Jesus said unless we become like little children and become the least, we can’t even come to Him at all. We are all great to God and God is no respecter of persons. He made us all equal.
Jealousy and comparison walk hand in hand looking for someone to throw off their game with lies and deception. It’s your choice of which one you will listen to and what your outcome will be. You can’t avoid the propositions but you can choose how to respond appropriately to the voices or situations that call out to you and your purpose.
Jealousy is a murdering spirit, so relax and let go of your brother. Don't use your hand or mouth to kill him!
Remember there is only one you. Your only competition is you! Be the best you. Period!
