God Will Not Forget, Don't You

In Genesis 22:17 God reinforces Genesis 12:1-3 by telling Abraham “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies…” He even made this promise to Solomon in 1 Kings 4:29, “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.”
The dreams of the Promised Land kept Abraham and his family moving forward through both good times and hard times. God sent leader after leader to fulfill His promise to this new generation He had birthed. Even after 400 years of bondage and slavery in Egypt and the Exodus into the wilderness, the promises still remained. This sand was not just dirt, but a promise that many of the Children of Israel had forgotten.
God always covers His investments, whether they are present or things to come.
For the Children of Israel, it was years of attempted assassinations on their faith that terrorized and paralyzed their future. This is why you cannot afford not to remember.
