Fortunately, the Word of God is our foundation to use in any arena. His path of principles has the answer to every situation we will ever face in our lifetime. When you follow God and meditate on His Word, day and night, you will be prosperous and you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
In Greek, ‘prosperous’ means ‘to help on the road’ or ‘succeed in reaching.’ In other words, God’s Word will help you on the path of righteousness, to reach what He has put before you, to have good success in whatever He has given you to do.
Proverb 3:6 reminds us that in all our ways we are to acknowledge Him and He will direct our path. The etymology or root word for ‘path’ is a ‘track or trench’ which is an established way to be used to get to a destination. It is symbolic of someone or something that went before you and now is a proven guide for you to follow. Therefore, the deeper the tracks or trenches the more evident the path will prove to be the successful way.
You see, “there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Prov. 14:12) Therefore, it is important not to guess what to do and which way to go … God has already laid the foundation.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 4:16) Jesus is the only path we must follow. His ways are established and complete. God is the Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and the End. Follow Me!
