Birthing In Joy

McKnightEnterprises.org

Can God trust you as He did David? Can God find you faithful to watch over the few sheep before He makes you the King over Israel? Can you wait in the wilderness season in order to fulfill your future seasons?

God has a set time, an appointed time, on hold in heaven that will be released in due season. He has the due date of your baby on His calendar. Yes, even our promises are stranded in sovereignty. It’s all in His hands. What a wonderful and safe place to be!

Our lives are all a part of this master plan. We can’t hurry God. For the most part, we don’t know when the release date is, but He does. He said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

We are all expecting! How will we know if it’s our season? We can gage it by the spirit, and every now and then God will reveal a date to the one He has cut a covenant with. Then, there are times it just happens … seemingly overnight. Why do we go through seasons of suffering and pain? For the joy of seeing and possessing our new baby. Most really do forget all the pain of the labor and delivery once that little bundle arrives. The moment of suffering cannot compare to the joy that is experienced when you lay eyes on that little kicker that was jumping inside of you, waiting to get out. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. (John 15:11)

Your purpose also contains your joy. If you are looking for joy and fulfillment, will it only be found in what you are called to do? What has God set before you to do? Whatever it is, just endure the shame and suffering. Endure the isolation and being stranded. Endure inconvenience for a while so that your joy might be full.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith … who for the joy that was set before him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
