Being Whole in a Broken World

McKnightEnterprises.org

No one is exempt from hardships. We have all suffered some emotional experiences that left us wounded in one way or another. We may have tried to forget but something happens that triggers an ache that takes us right back to the spot where the injury occurred.

So, what do we do? We look for a place of relief, a place of refuge where we can go and hopefully find some type of healing or comfort at least. As little children, most of us were taught to pray and told to take our troubles to The Lord. So, from a young age until now you have always heard that when you come to God, everything would be all good now. It was better but not all good.

We have all endured something we wish we could forget but for some reason, the memory won't go away. Maybe God wants to use your experience so He may want you to remember. For some people, the tragic, painful experience launched them into purpose. Because of their brush with tragedy, ministries were born, organizations formed and bills passed in the senate to help the next person have an easier transition through their trouble times than you had.

Remember, a healed place may have a scar but under the scar, the pain should be gone. That is wholeness. The ability to see the scar and show it to others to prove God can and will heal what has been hurting you. Forgive but always remember. You can live and operate from a whole place in Him.

And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. (Jeremiah 24:7)
